Why Choose Us

Because real results come from real experience

Choosing the right partner isn’t about who promises the biggest savings, it’s about who delivers the right kind of change for your business. Some firms take a one-size-fits-all approach, others focus heavily on reports and frameworks. We believe the difference lies in practical experience, tailored solutions, and measurable impact.

The Team

Choosing the right partner isn’t about who promises the biggest savings, it’s about who delivers the right kind of change for your business. Some firms take a one-size-fits-all approach, others focus heavily on reports and frameworks. We believe the difference lies in practical experience, tailored solutions, and measurable impact.

Karl

Karl has spent over 25 years in senior procurement, managing director and board advisory roles across professional and consumer product businesses, working across sectors including electronics, DIY, homewares, gifting, clothing and other seasonal and lifestyle categories, supplying trade, professional trade, major national retailers and ecommerce channels across the UK, Europe, US and further afield.

His background is built on tight-margin businesses operating in volatile commodity markets, where cost discipline is the difference between profit and loss. He has held full P&L accountability across multi-site, multi-currency operations, and works deep in operational cost management; bill of materials analysis, vertical supply chain cost analysis, overhead and cost base review, identifying where cost, waste and inefficiency sit and building the purchasing and operational discipline to remove them.

That cost discipline is grounded in genuine product depth. Karl's career started in product development and sourcing, and he has spent it close to the product itself, with a working understanding of both owned manufacturing and third-party sourcing and import, and how each shapes where cost really sits in a supply chain, rather than just in the numbers on a page.

At Profit Core Partners, Karl brings that same operator's eye for cost control and margin efficiency to every engagement, because he's managed these pressures from inside the business, not from the outside looking in.

Russell

Russell has spent close to four decades in manufacturing, focused on operations, supply chain and procurement. The past ten years have been largely interim and consultancy work - electronics, pharmaceuticals, steel fabrication, chemicals, lighting - which means arriving in unfamiliar businesses and quickly understanding how each one buys, produces and delivers.

Recent assignments have included building a group purchasing strategy across five companies that previously bought independently, and establishing a purchasing function from scratch for a pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Earlier roles were permanent and usually involved steadying businesses under pressure. Whilst at an oral hygiene manufacturer, Russell lifted production output substantially while improving on-time-in-full delivery from 76% to 98% and reducing stockholding. Moving to a personal care group, he integrated an acquired business, brought injection moulding in house, and took the site through BRC accreditation and a major grocer's own supplier standard. Then at a global household products brand, he led the transfer of 56 million finished units between UK and international production houses, building the raw material supply chain and logistics around it.

This experience maps directly onto how Profit Core Partners works. Russell has sat in the operator's seat rather than observed from outside, and knows where cost and delay genuinely hide - in the supply base, in overheads nobody has reviewed in years, in processes that evolved rather than were designed. Russell's view is that change only sticks if the people doing the work think it's sensible, so the targets get set with them rather than for them.

George

George is the Business Development Manager at Profit Core Partners, responsible for the first conversation clients have with the firm.

He comes from a background in B2B and B2C outbound sales, qualifying and booking appointments with senior decision-makers on behalf of clients across multiple sectors, and managing CRM pipelines from first contact through to handover. He set a company record for appointments booked in a single month and consistently exceeded targets in tightly regulated sales environments. What he adds to that is genuine technical grounding. Holding an honours degree focused on economics, policy, and renewable energy, he is now reading for an MSc in Supply Chain Management and working towards MCIPS, the professional standard of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. It means the qualifying conversation is a substantive one: he can talk credibly about vendor consolidation, cost variance, and where margin actually leaks.

That matters at Profit Core Partners, where fees are tied to verified savings. The first call has to establish honestly whether there is genuine margin to recover, and say so plainly when there isn't. George brings the commercial discipline to open those conversations and the subject knowledge to make them worth having.

Our Associates

Beyond the core team, Profit Core Partners draws on a trusted network of specialist associates, brought in project by project to add specific expertise where it matters most. That network spans areas like AI and digital transformation, plant and factory design, along with other specialisms we call on as each engagement demands. Rather than stretching a generalist to cover ground outside our core expertise, we bring in the right specialist for the job, giving clients the depth of a much larger firm, without the overhead of carrying that expertise full-time.

Our approach is practical, transparent, and aligned with your outcomes, no upfront fees, no wasted time, just measurable results. If you’re ready to see what’s possible in your business, let’s start the conversation.
